01What we collect

We collect only your email address. We use it to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, physical address, or payment details through the app.

02What we don't collect

• Which apps you choose to block. These selections are handled by Apple's Screen Time framework and stay on your device.
• Your app usage, screen time, or browsing history.
• Your location.
• Your contacts, photos, or files.

Apple's Screen Time APIs are designed so that app developers cannot see which specific apps you select or how long you use them. We built OFF within those limits by design, not as an afterthought.

Your blocks, schedules, session history, rules, and emergency unlock count are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us. If you sign out, this local data is deleted from the device.

03The device

The OFF device contains a passive NFC tag and no electronics or battery. It cannot store, transmit, or collect anything. It simply presents an identifier when your phone touches it.

04Where data is stored

We use Supabase to store your email address and manage sign-in. Sign-in codes are delivered by email. Supabase acts as our data processor and stores data on servers in the European Union.

05Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking. The only third parties involved are our hosting, authentication, and email delivery providers, each acting solely on our instructions.

06How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove it, normally within 30 days.

07Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@off-device.com and we will respond. If you are in the UAE, the EU, or the UK, you also have rights under your local data protection law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

08Security

Sign-in uses one-time codes rather than passwords, so there is no password for us to lose. Data in transit is encrypted, and access to our systems is limited to those who need it.

09Children

OFF is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
